Our Next Performance
Saturday, 14th December 2002
At Silsden Methodist Church,
SILSDEN
at 7.30pm
WITH THE CHOIR FROM HOTHFIELD STREET JUNIOR SCHOOL

Two years ago, the decision was made to erect welcome stones at the boundaries of Steeton and Eastburn on the A629--
the main Skipton to Keighley road.

The stones were put into place in December 2001 to honour the largest and oldest male voice choir in the Bradford Metropolitan Area.

Pictured at one of the stones is (from left to right)
John Jones, the Publicity Officer, Gilmoure Davies, Chairman,
Councellor David Emmott, Chairman of the Council,
Terry Eggleshaw, who was the initial "negotiator" with the council,
and Alan Clark, Musical Director.

The stones are a reminder that the choir has been in existence for almost a century, and has been based in the village all of that time.
The stones have not had an easy journey to their site; the first set
crumbled in the frost last winter and had to be replaced.
