Thanks for everything, Anne!
7th June 2014
The choir held a special concert and supper at Cullingworth Village Hall, the aim of which was to express our gratitude to Anne Mott for her 13 years as accompanist and to give her and husband Peter our very best wishes for a happy retirement in York.
The choir performed a programme of items specially selected by Anne herself and we sang our hearts out for her. President Len Wilson brought the house down with a tribute to Anne in verse form and MD Alan Clark spoke of the invaluable support Anne had given him over the years. Anne was then presented by Alan with a specially commissioned glass engraving of the choir and a bouquet of flowers.
We will miss Anne terribly but we are looking forward to working with our new accompanist Pat Jones. Anne will in fact be with us for a few weeks yet (including our tour of the north-east) and we will do our best to make this a memorable time.
